Podcasts We Have Guested On

Crit Academy

Crit Academy was the first podcast I (Gabe) ever guested on! We had just started podcasting earlier that year, and we became friends with Justin once a mutual listener clued us in to each other. I first guested on their show, and then we had Justin on shortly thereafter; the rest is history, I suppose!

The Frellcast

I started listening to the Frellcast while they were in their second or third season, I believe, and eventually I had the idea to contact them about being a guest on their show. And thankfully, they said yes- and even had me on a second time!

DnD Character Lab

For Halloween 2018, Garin and Dan from DnD Character Lab had Jeff and I on their show, after we'd had them on as guests a few months previous. It was a blast!

The Cantrip

Angela and Jon from The Cantrip were kind enough to have us on as guests as well! We got to talk all about one of the D&D classes that I'm particularly fond of- the Warlock. I'm bummed because I missed the chance to meet them in person when they were visiting Detroit for a gaming convention last year!

Christmas Past

A while back I saw a Reddit post from a guy who was making a Christmas podcast, all about the history of the holiday and its traditions- and he was looking for stories people had of their Christmas memories. (This ended up being a huge inspiration for my Arcade Memories podcast a year or so later!) I submitted a short story, which you can find in this episode (with the host's intro starting around the 17:35 mark).

Monsters Among Us

I submitted an audio story to the paranormal call-in podcast, Monsters Among Us. I'm generally not a believer in the supernatural but I have one story from my childhood that makes me wonder. Fun story about this story- I left this as a voicemail for their show many months earlier, and then I forgot about it. Then I had a listener contact me, saying they heard me on another show! It blew my mind.

Blurry Photos

And, around the same time, I also submitted the story (in text form this time) to another podcast, Blurry Photos, who later read it on a listener stories episode. So it's the same story, but on a different show- and it's not my voice, but I'm going to count it anyway.

Nerds Without Pants

After meeting one of the hosts through the Arcade Memories podcast, I was fortunate enough to be able to guest-host on this wonderful video game discussion podcast! We actually tried to make plans for me to guest on this show almost a year earlier but we just weren't able to coordinate schedules. In any case, in this episode, we talked about Nemeses in video games, as well as a couple Nintendo 64-exclusive fighting games and more!

DMs of Vancouver

We met Jessy and Sean of this wonderful podcast over Twitter, and luckily our schedules lined up and we were able to guest on each other's podcasts! (You can hear them on our show back on Episode 153: Enemies & Weapons.) We got together with them to talk about our favorite campaign setting of all time- Eberron!

Square Roots Podcast

Square Roots is a classic video game RPG podcast that I've been listening to for several years. Recently, they put out a call for an "Oops All Listeners" episode, where listeners could submit any kind of audio they wanted (as long as it fit within five minutes). Rather than promote my show, I decided to use the opportunity to entice them into covering one of my favorite games!

RPG Horror Stories

Not a podcast, but there's a Youtube channel that provides audio versions of "horror stories" of tabletop games that have been posted on Reddit. I posted a story of a particularly rough session I had back in my early days, and the creator of this channel contacted me about doing an episode with my story. It turned out great!

T&A: Tens & Aces

So, apparently a while back on Reddit I recorded an intro for a Blackjack podcast? I completely forgot I even made this, I was clearing out space on my hard drive and found the file I made and so I googled the podcast. Apparently they used my intro on like twenty episodes, before going on hiatus!
