Hello out there! This week we have a fun episode. We talk about smiting your enemies, one-shot adventures, armor that carries your body around after you're dead, beating people in the streets, characters named after body parts... We run the whole gamut here at Inter-Party Conflict. Knowhutimean?
Let me ask a question- did this episode sound different to you? Hopefully not. But if so, it might be because Jeff edited this one! Normally I hoard the editing privileges like a greedy dragon fighting off adventurers. But Jeff offered, so I let him go ahead! And I think it turned out great. So everyone go tweet at him or whatever and tell him I said so.
Last week we ran our Roll20 game, which went better than I had hoped (though we didn't have enough time to finish it- we'll have to make plans for that) and we've also gotten a new Red-Tier patron! We recorded this episode before that, though, so we'll be shouting him out on the podcast next week. In the meantime, thanks Christopher! We really appreciate your contribution!
If you'd like to become a patron too (and get outtakes, bonus episodes, fantasy fiction written by me, and a monthly Roll20 game), then all you have to do is go to Patreon.com/InterPartyConflict and see if any of the rewards look good to you! You'll be helping the show and getting cool stuff in return.
This week's Chapel on the Cliffs drawing winner is Jonathan S! Congratulations, Jonathan! Check your spam folder if you don't see your e-mail. And be sure to give Goblin Stone a review!
If anyone else would like to enter the drawing, just e-mail us at InterPartyConflict@gmail.com with "Chapel on the Cliffs" in the subject line! It's that easy!
And remember, Goblin Stone is one of the amazing content creators on the Critnation Fellowship! For more books and modules, check out Loresmyth, Aurican's Lair, and Jeff Stevens- and for more podcasts, visit our great friends at Crit Academy and D&D Character Lab!
Have a great week!

Questions answered this episode:
1. How can I clue my players into things happening behind the scenes (unrest and racism in the land, etc.) without outright telling them?
2. In 5e, can a paladin using an attack with divine smite that brings a creature's hit points to zero declare it as non-lethal?
3. What is a one shot? Do they have to have a satisfying ending? Are one shots good or bad for the game?

Episode (insert immature joke here)
Hello, everyone! Welcome back! This is a big week- Jeff and I finally managed to get our recording schedule back on track, so things should be smooth sailing from here on out. This is episode 69- you know, THAT number- but don't worry, we didn't realize it until after we were done recording. So no off-color jokes from us.
In this episode, we talk about world building, running a game for a small group, and we spend a little bit too much time talking about Nickelodeon Gak. (It makes sense in-context. I hope.) Also, the day this episode goes up, I'm going to be running a game of my brother's game, The Mountain Witch! If it goes well I'll be posting the audio from it some time in the future, but if we never mention it again then that probably means it didn't go so well. (I'm very nervous about running it, in case you couldn't tell.) But this game is going to be run over Roll20 for our top-tier patrons- so if you're interested in playing games with us in the future, head over to Patreon.com/InterPartyConflict and join!
This week's Chapel on the Cliffs drawing winner is Staci V! Congratulations, Staci! Let me know if you don't get an e-mail within the next 24 hours. And be sure to let Goblin Stone know what you think! If anyone else would like to enter the drawing, it's super easy! Just e-mail us at InterPartyConflict@gmail.com with "Chapel on the Cliffs" in the subject line!
And remember, Goblin Stone is one of the great content creators on the Critnation Fellowship! For more books and modules, check out Loresmyth, Aurican's Lair, and Jeff Stevens- and for more podcasts, visit our wonderful friends at Crit Academy and D&D Character Lab!
Have a great one!

Episode 68: The Saga Continues
Hey, folks! This week brings us another great episode, and I think we touch on some really fun stuff in this one. Our main discussion is about D&D's negative stereotypes (stemming from the "Satanic Panic" from the 80s), and we also talk about the Massive Damage optional rule. The past week has been a rough one, but as they say in the theater, "Macbeth!"
Er, I guess they don't say that. Something about the show going on, that's what I meant.
Anyway, this week's Chapel on the Cliffs drawing winner is Tim C! Congratulations, Tim! You should get an e-mail from Goblin Stone soon, and let me know if you don't. But be sure to let Goblin Stone know what you think! That way they can continue to make great products. And if anyone else would like to enter the drawing, it's as easy as e-mailing us at InterPartyConflict@gmail.com with "Chapel on the Cliffs" in the subject line! Our list of candidates is getting pretty small, so if you enter now, your chances of winning are very high!
I hope you all have a wonderful week!

No fighting! There's enough of episode 67 to go around!
Hello, everyone! We've got a great episode for you this week- it's all about a serious topic that is kind of the whole reason we started this show: Inter-Party Conflict. Or, I guess, technically, Intra-Party Conflict. Or whatever. While I was editing this episode it occurred to me that my impassioned argument in this one seems like it contradicts my arguments from a couple previous episodes- specifically, about stealing from the party, and doing things "because it's what my character would do"- and I'll address this in next week's episode, but for the time being I just want to say that in my mind the two are not at all contradictory, though it might seem that way. So if anyone was about to turn off their podcasting device in disgust at our blatant hypocrisy, maybe turn the main down a tad?
This week's Chapel on the Cliffs drawing winner is Karl L! Congratulations, Karl! You should get an e-mail from Goblin Stone within the day, and if you don't, let me know. Questions answered this episode:
1. How do you deal with adversarial DMing? How can you identify it, and how can it be avoided?
2. I currently DM a game, where we had our first character death and the player in question has now created a character, who purposely will clash with the parties paladin. How would you handle this?
3. What should I do when the DM pits two player characters against each other?

Episode 66: Where Gabe Tries Really Hard Not To Make A Fool Of Himself
Hey there listeners! I hope you all have had a great week. We have a very special episode for you today- we're joined by Gary Butterfield, one of the hosts of several of the Duckfeed.tv podcasts! He's currently making more podcasts than most people listen to in a week, I'd wager, and I've been a huge fan for several years. I can honestly say if it weren't for him and his co-host Kole Ross, I wouldn't have gotten into podcasting myself (and I would've had to find something to fill the five or six hundred hours I've filled with Duckfeed podcasts). So let me extend a big, hearty thank you to Gary not only for making great shows, but for coming on Inter-Party Conflict!
This week, the three of us cover some interesting topics- poisoned armor that bites you, making travel interesting, summoning/killing gods, chronic tardiness, and more. Also, after edits this episode ended up a little bit shorter than I was expecting, so stick around after the outro to listen to me and Jeff open up a gift package I won from Adventures in Erylia! (Also, check our Facebook and Twitter for pictures!)
For the second week in a row, the guy who submitted our Dragon's Hoard item (Shawn M) is also the winner of our Chapel on the Cliffs drawing! So, congratulations Shawn! You should get an e-mail from Benoit over at Goblin Stone within the day, and if you don't, let me know and I'll sort it out. But once you've read it over, let Goblin Stone know what you think! The best thank-you is a review, me pappy always used to say.
And if anyone else would like to enter the drawing, it's as easy as e-mailing us at InterPartyConflict@gmail.com with "Chapel on the Cliffs" in the subject line!
And remember, Goblin Stone is one of the content creators from the Critnation Fellowship! For more adventures, check out Loresmyth, Aurican's Lair, and Jeff Stevens- and for more podcasts, visit our friends at Crit Academy and D&D Character Lab!
Also- if you want to hear any of the plethora of shows that Gary is a part of, then head over to Duckfeed.tv and see what they have! While their main focus is video games, they've got something for everybody, and I give them my unqualified recommendation.
So thanks to everyone for listening, and have a great week!
