Episode 251: We're Back, For One Night Only!

Holy moly! Has it been three years already? (And then some?) It's wild how fast time flies. Well, we're back- not for good unfortunately, but after so much time had passed I thought it would be fun to get together with Jeff and record one more episode for old time's sake. Come join us as we reminisce and catch you all up on the many things we've been up to since the podcast ended, and also listen in on the announcement of my next big project!

Normally at this point I would plug all of the other content creators on the Critnation Fellowship- but sadly I think most of those creators have either moved on or at least put things on hold. But the OG creator, Crit Academy, is still kicking (though in a bit of a different format) so go see what they've been up to!

So welcome back everyone, and I hope you'll stay tuned for my next project, coming out in a few weeks!

Question(s) answered this episode:

1. Hey Gabe and Jeff, what have you been up to for the past three years?

2. How Is the recording and editing process for the actual play different from IPC?

3. Have you guys been guests on any other podcasts?

4. During the last few episodes of the podcast you mentioned playing Pathfinder: are you still playing that (privately)? And how do you like it?

5. What systems have you been playing? Has the "main system" shifted (as in, "used to play mostly 5e, and a little of 2e, now it's mostly 2e" or something like that)?

6. Are you still as passionate about TTRPGs? Why / why not?

7. Did you play Baldur's Gate 3 and how did you like it?

8. Dinner-Party Conflict time. What have you been cooking?

9. How has your (turkey) smoking journey been going Gabe?

10. Any new and exciting RC Cola flavours / stories you want to tell us about?

11. Is RC still the greatest?

12. Are you all interested in maybe hitting up some conventions like gencon in the future?

13. How are the dogs doing?

14. Gabe, how's your brother doing?

15. Will the new show be on the IPC main stream?

16. Are there any new game systems you're interested in trying out soon?

17. Will there be a return to Cloudstralia in the future?

18. If you absolutely had to do it, what do you both think would be the best starting point to making a Final Fantasy-themed campaign setting?

19. Are y'all following Daggerheart at all? What do you think of it? Think it has any real staying power? With Critical Role campaign 3 wrapped up, do you think they'll give a shot moving to it as their main game?

20. Do you feel obligated to throw out the old edition the moment a new one comes out or do you wait until they work the bugs out?

21. Will we finally find out what Gabe's mystery metric was for the episode titles?

Episode 163: Wait, What?

Hello, everyone! This is week three of hoping you all out there are staying safe and healthy. We're going to keep on making episodes, because it's the only thing we know that might help! This week we talk about a few different topics that share some basic issues: jealousy over an NPC, inappropriate behavior at a public venue, and a difference of expectation between you and the DM. This episodes goes in some bizarre directions, but hopefully you can make sense of it all!

This week's winner of our Unearthed Tips & Tricks drawing is Danny C! Congratulations, Danny! You should get your copy within the next few days. Whenever you have a chance to read it over, be sure to leave Crit Academy a review! They're a great group and would love to use your feedback to improve their products.

Would you like to enter the drawing? It's easy- just e-mail us at InterPartyConflict@gmail.com with "Unearthed Tips & Tricks" in the subject line! It's that easy! And remember- this is a new product, so if you won one of our earlier drawings, you can enter again!

And remember, Crit Academy is just one of the great podcasts in the Critnation Fellowship! For more podcasts, visit our friends at Brute Force and Ignorance, and the (unfortunately ended) D&D Character Lab! And for books, adventures, and videos, check out Goblin StoneLoresmythAurican's LairJeff Stevens, and The Kind GM!

See you next week! (Or was it last week?)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question(s) answered this episode:

1. Am I the jerk for being upset my boyfriend flirted with an NPC?

2. A game run by a new DM at my local game store quickly became inappropriate for young audiences. What is the best way to address this without alienating good people?

3. Our DM never kills his players, even in situations where they rightfully should have died. Our party is at a point in the campaign where we feel there will be no consequences for our actions. Is there a good way to address this issue?

Episode 148 is here, so close to 150!

Hello, everyone! We took a break from our normal episodes last week, but we still brought you something fun to listen to- a group of interviews I did at my birthday party! It's not a typical episode for us (not by a long shot), but I had a lot of fun making it and I'm sure there's some fun stuff in there that might interest our typical listener.

And if not, we're back the following week with another D&D-packed episode! This week got to stretch out imaginative muscles as we covered an environmental hazard that might pop up in your game- wild magic zones! We talked about how to use them, how not to use them, and we came up with a bunch of fun ideas for how to make them more interesting.

This week's winner of our Chapel on the Cliffs drawing is Tori R! Congratulations, Tori! You should get your copy within the next few days. Whenever you have a chance to read it over, be sure to leave Goblin Stone a review! They're a great company and would love to use your feedback to improve their products.

Would you like to enter the drawing? It's easy- just e-mail us at InterPartyConflict@gmail.com with "Chapel on the Cliffs" in the subject line! It's that easy! As always, we need more entries for this drawing, so you have very good chances of winning very soon!

Bonus Episode 5: 'Tis the Season to be Off-Topic

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

I'm posting the episode a bit early today as I'll most likely be too busy to do it later. In honor of the holiday (as well as to fit the weird format we've made for our yearly podcasting releases), this week's episode is not a normal numbered episode- instead, it's a bonus episode where Jeff and I answer off-topic questions about us, the future of the show, as well as a certain dog (who has been very naughty the last few days). So I hope you enjoy this little peek into our personal lives and I hope you'll join us next week for our one-hundredth episode!

This week's winner of our Chapel on the Cliffs drawing is Hal A! Congratulations, Hal! You should get your copy within the next 48 hours. If you like it (or if you don't) be sure to leave Goblin Stone a review!

Would you like to enter the drawing? It's easy- just e-mail us at InterPartyConflict@gmail.com with "Chapel on the Cliffs" in the subject line! It's that easy!

Ten episodes later....

We're into double-digits! Thank you all for listening so far, and I hope you'll stick around for the next milestone. This podcast wouldn't exist without you, the listeners, so give yourself a hand! I recommend cutting one off a goblin first.

This episode has some really good questions, and a really good item. The item in question is the Ring of the Grammarian- specifically chosen by me because it's amazing. I first heard about it on an episode of The Adventure Zone (link below), and it made the rounds on Reddit as well- there's hundreds of suggestions people have come up with if you take the time to look. If you have any of your own uses that you've come up with, e-mail us at InterPartyConflict@gmail.com! You can also submit other items you'd like us to discuss, and we always need questions. So go ahead and immortalize yourself in the annals of history by contributing to Inter-Party Conflict! After the Fast Food Wars there's going to be so little pre-war information left over that the history books just might paint you as some kind of god-like figure. What am I even talking about? Who knows/cares?

As always, please rate/review/subscribe!
