Episode 166: Let's Do the Time Warp Again

Welcome back, everyone! We've got a fun episode for you today- we discuss time travel, and whether it works in a tabletop RPG or not. (Spoilers, it doesn't. Except... maybe it does?) We came up with some really good stuff in this episode, so I definitely think you should listen to it!

The Actual Play Podcast Special

Hello, everyone!

We decided to take the week off from recording, but instead I have a special surprise for you all: Instead of a normal episode, I've finally finished editing At the Gaming Table, the Actual Play podcast that we recorded last year, and all six episodes are available for you to listen to! We've made a lot of references to it, but now it's finally out. So thank you all for listening, and we'll see you next week when we're back to our usual shenanigans!

Episode 164: Back In Order

So, we had some mixed feelings about our last episode. (I liked it; everyone else didn't.) But too bad.

Anyway, this time around we've got another episode (that ISN'T backwards, believe it or not) and we're talking about levelling up- how to do it, what it means, whether it should exist in-universe or not- as well as answering a question from an old friend about designing puzzles! So come along for the ride!

This week's winner of our Unearthed Tips & Tricks drawing is Michael T! Congratulations, Michael! You should get your copy within the next few days. Whenever you have a chance to read it over, be sure to leave Crit Academy a review! They're a great group and would love to use your feedback to improve their products.

2. What are some tips you have for designing puzzles?

Erfworld- Now, this sent me down a rabbit hole. This is a webcomic I used to read all the time and I loved it; but a few years ago I got too busy and lost my place and stopped reading for a while (but some day hoped to start over from the beginning and get caught up). Apparently, last year, the creator suffered some sort of family-related disaster (the exact details of which are not available to the public, which is understandable) and as such he stopped making new comics and (apparently tried to scrub the entire thing from the internet? Or something? I'll have to do some research and get back in the future.

Ocarina of Time

Tomb of Horrors

Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil- It turns out the reference I made in this episode wasn't quite correct, but the actual dungeon feature is equally bonkers.
